Designer: Atletico Madrid hopes to change the appearance of the home court, we are remodeling some corners

Recently, Antonio Ortiz, one of the co-founders of Cruzy Ortiz Arquitectos, participated in the "Dialogue Architecture" podcast, saying that Atletico Madrid's home stadium "has not yet completed".

Antonio Ortiz revealed what Atletico Madrid asked them: "They wanted us to modify the appearance and give it a new image. We do not refuse to dress up the building, and for them, it may not be understood that concrete is not an expensive material. If you don't do it, others will do it. In order not to let others do it, it's better to do it ourselves."

"We are renovating some corners to solve the problem of sound leakage in the stadium. The project started as a very famous track and field project called 'La Peineta', which features 20,000 audience seats and only one unique structure on the west side, which makes it very special. It is also very simple, with the structure, form and function focused on a single element and material, namely concrete, which is a very powerful project."
