Parma officially announced that Suzuki Ayen successfully underwent surgery at the Institute of Comprehensive Sports Medicine, Keio University School of Medicine in Tokyo.
Dr. Giulio Pasta, the club's medical director, also participated in the operation. The operation was to stabilize and repair the navicular bone and third finger of his left hand. Suzuki will begin the first phase of her recovery in Japan and will remain in close contact with Parma's medical team during this period.
Parma previously officially confirmed that main goalkeeper Aya Suzuki suffered a serious hand injury and is expected to be absent for about three months. The medical announcement issued by the club showed that Suzuki Ayen suffered a displaced fracture of the third finger and scaphoid of her left hand.
