Marca: Betis becomes the first Spanish team to be certified by the EU Ecological Management and Audit System

Le Marca reported that Betis has become the first Spanish football club to be certified by the EU Ecological Management and Audit System (EMAS), second only to Porto in Europe, ranking second.

This top certification is an official recognition of the club's outstanding performance in the field of sustainable development. It requires a thorough public report to transparently demonstrate its environmental policies, goals and results to the society, with standards higher than the ISO 14001 international certification that has been obtained.

After a season-long effort, the base has implemented a number of innovative environmental protection measures, including:

Water Resource Resource Resource Resources: A rainwater collection system is built to use the collected water for irrigation on the site to achieve self-sufficiency in water resources.

Material innovation: natural cork is used to replace traditional rubber particles in artificial turf, which not only eliminates microplastic pollution, but also effectively reduces site temperature and saves irrigation water.

Efficient energy utilization: Deploy intelligent lighting systems that can be controlled remotely; the main building adopts an ecological climate design to reduce summer cooling energy consumption; domestic hot water is completely supplied by air energy, completely bidding farewell to natural gas.

Green Travel: All transportation in the base is made of pure electric vehicles, and is equipped with charging stations and self-sustaining photovoltaic power stations.

Ecological "black technology": introducing goats and sheep to eat grass and act as "biological lawn mowers", which not only reduces mechanical pollution, but also brings natural fertilizers to the land.
