More than 7 million yuan was involved in the case! Spanish media: Court summons Barcelona vice-president to attend court hearing over Negreira case

The "Negrera case" involving Barcelona is still under trial. According to the Spanish media EFE, the judge of Barcelona's First Court of Investigation has summoned the Barcelona club to appear in court as the subject of the investigation. For this reason, Barcelona designated Vice President Elena Ford as a representative and attended the court hearing on January 27.

The focus of the case investigation is the 7.3 million euros paid by Barcelona Club to the Vice Chairman of the Referee Committee Negreira and his son between 2001 and 2018.

Barcelona Club is not the only unit to be summoned. On February 6 next year, former Barcelona Chairman Joan Gaspart and consultant Ricardo Segura will appear in court to testify. Gaspart, who served as Barcelona president from July 2000 to February 2003 and vice president from 1978 to 2000, needs to explain the payments made to Guerrera during his tenure. On September 18 this year, Russell, Bartomeu and others appeared in court to make statements.

In addition, it should be noted that Laporta, Enrique and Valverde have also been summoned to appear in court on December 12, and the trial originally scheduled for November 25 has been postponed. Laporta and Gaspart are in a similar situation and need to explain the payment to Negreira, while the two coaches need to cooperate in collecting evidence because the incident occurred while coaching Barcelona.

According to EFE, at the request of the prosecutor's office, the judge also ordered the Barcelona club to submit original contracts with two companies controlled by Negreira. These contracts involve paid arbitration consulting services provided between 2001 and 2014.
