According to German media Biography, Dortmund has owned a new cooperative club in Budapest since this month, and this new youth training cooperation agreement will bring two key advantages to the Yellow and Black Legion.

report stated that Dortmund has established a new partnership with Karen SC Club in Budapest, and the "Dorth International Academy-Hungary" has been established at the club's venue. According to Biography, the contract is initially valid for five years until 2030, and Dortmund has little to bear any investment costs.

This new base will be part of the Dortmund Football Academy international network from now on, the park consists of a grass soccer field and two artificial turf soccer fields. The base has been fully redesigned: the venue is completely redesigned, adopting the iconic Dortmund design of yellow and black, and the club's logo can be seen everywhere.

Through the merger of Karen SC with the former Dortmund partner UDSร‰, the new academy now has a total of 350 young players. Dortmund said: "From now on, all the youth teams of Karen SC will appear in Dortmund's jerseys." In addition, these young players will have the opportunity to visit Dortmund's training base through exchange programs to accumulate training experience.

The coordinator of the academy is the expert of Hungarian football Theo Schneider: the former Dortmund player (who has played 54 official games for Dortmund) has coached Dortmund second team twice and U19, and has served as director of the Ferentsvaros Budapest youth team in Hungary for 3 and a half years.

As for what this new youth training cooperation will bring to Dortmund? First, Dortmund will use its high exposure in Eastern European countries to enhance its brand value. In Poland, they already have two similar projects: the college of the former player Piszczek at Gochaukovice Zdroy, and the Willy Brandt School in Warsaw.

More importantly: Dortmund has also increased the opportunity to find potential talented players for his professional team in Hungary. As long as a talented player is found, this new investment should be worth the money. So far, only three Hungarian players have played for Dortmund.

Dortmond's youth training network is huge today: Dortmund has 18 league-partnered school teams in the United States and has multiple youth training sites in Asia and Australia. In Germany, the youth training academies in Dortmund train up to 30,000 children each year.
