Leverkusen drew 2-2 with Copenhagen in the first round of the Champions League. After the game, Leverkusen's director Rollfies talked about the game in an interview with the media. He criticized the team's performance in the first half, but also pointed out that the performance in the second half had improved significantly.
"We started poorly, the pace was a bit too slow, and there were problems with our position. We never really got into the game, while Copenhagen performed very strongly. The situation improved in the second half, and the team's sense of oppression was stronger, the offense was more impactful, and the game was more intense. This was also attributed to the appearance of the substitute players to a certain extent."
"In the end, I think the team always maintained their beliefs and tried their best to equalize the score. Copenhagen is not easy to deal with. They are an excellent Danish team with a tight defensive organization. It is not easy to create offensive opportunities in them, and the offensive space is difficult to open."
