Consultant: Galatasaray’s 75 million signing made Osimhen a bloody profit during his peak period, and the contract has no termination clause.

By persuading Osimhen to extend his contract by one year, I lowered the release clause from the over €100 million Napoli demanded to €75 million - making the loan move possible. There were many problems at the time. I remember: we were at the airport and we had to submit the UEFA list the next day. Naples has contract issues, and Osimhen is not sure whether he really wants to leave. We talked for two hours at the airport.

Those two hours were probably the longest two hours of my career. But I managed to convince him - and he set off with me. Thousands of fans are already waiting in Istanbul. He was determined to join Galatasaray from the start and had huge respect for the club - which was a key factor. A year later, when the release clause was set at 75 million euros, it must be said: the market had completely changed. The value of this 75 million is different from the previous year. Comparing the transfer fees of other forwards, many transactions are much higher than this.

We are talking about one of the best number nine players in the world. Signing him for 75 million euros is a very wise economic decision. Negotiations lasted for months as Osimhen first needed to decide where to play. He can choose from almost all the top clubs in the world. The media revealed some of the names - but the actual selection was far greater than that. He didn't make a decision until early July and the release clause expired at the beginning of July - we were pressed for time.

When the terms expired, offers came in that were several million higher. But Osimhen firmly stated: "I only play for Galatasaray." This helps us tremendously. The chairman and vice-chairman then completed an extraordinary job - paying Napoli 75 million euros in one year and signing the world's top forward in the golden age of the players, which was a historic achievement for the club.

I regard him as a leader player who can use his personal charm to help the club achieve its ambitious goals. I don't think this is a short-term deal. I believe he will continue to serve as the team leader in the coming years and help bring in other top players. He is happy in Istanbul, earning a good salary, loved by millions of fans, the team is competitive in the Champions League and his performances are outstanding.
