Leonardo, the famous Milan star and former Paris director, was recently interviewed by RMC Sport in France. In addition to talking about his experience of coaching at Inter Milan after working in Milan for many years, he also talked about his feelings about working in Paris.
"I never liked being a coach. I started (coaching) in Milan because the club was about to be sold. Later, I went to Inter Milan just because I was invited by Moratti."
The Brazilian also recalled the wonderful moment when Paris defeated Inter Milan to win the Champions League: "It was really wonderful. Luis Enrique, as the core figure, passed on a lot of ideas to the players. After so many years, the hard work finally paid off. Don't ignore their efforts in a modern training center. Enrique put his own ideas A perfect transfer to a young team. "
"But I think Motta would be great in Paris: he understands the club, pays attention to aesthetics, loves beautiful football, and loves Paris. I don't see him in the coaching bench (in Paris). A pity. But if you don’t spend money, you can’t win. Look at the clubs that have won the Champions League. For us, the goal at the beginning was not to win the Champions League, but to become competitive immediately.”
