ESPN: Manchester United is indeed looking for a forward, but it does not mean that they will offer Barcelona’s old player Roque

According to ESPN reports, while coaching Sporting CP, Amorim, who now coaches Manchester United, tried to sign Brazilian forward Roque, but ultimately failed and the player chose to play for Betis. Manchester United will be looking for a striker in the winter transfer window, but this does not mean they will send an offer to Palmeiras.
As the 2026 European winter transfer window approaches, major clubs have begun to look for new signing targets. One of the rumors is Manchester United's interest in Palmeiras forward Victor Roque. The striker, known as "The Little Tiger", has been a key figure for Palmeiras over the past few months and has rediscovered his form after unsuccessful spells at Barcelona and Betis. Manchester United is indeed looking for a forward to strengthen the team's strength in the first half of 2026. One of the reasons is that Sheshko, introduced at a high price from Leipzig this summer, has not yet shown his strength at Old Trafford.
In February this year, Roque joined Palmeiras. His transfer fee was 25.5 million euros and he signed a contract until 2029. Since joining, he has contributed 17 goals and 5 assists to the team. These figures have him looking forward to being named to the soon-to-be-announced Brazil national team squad for games against Senegal and Tunisia this month. He is said to be confident he will be called up.
