Milan winger Leo revealed when participating in the SayLessGlobal podcast that Benfica Youth Training wanted to sign himself, but in the end he did not send a car to pick him up.

Portuguese winger Leo comes from Portugal's sports youth training, but he revealed that he was close to joining Benfica. "It all happened when I was 8 years old and Benfica wanted to sign me, and my father had agreed, he was a Benfica fan. I had an agreement with Benfica, but my father didn't have a car at the time, so I couldn't go to the training."

Leo continued: "Benfica told us, 'Don't worry, sign, we prepared a van and would pick up your kids from school to the training ground.' I was waiting for that van, but the car didn't come. The same goes for the second and third days. A week passed and I started crying. I didn’t even participate in training once, so we decided to join the Portuguese sports youth training. ”

Leo also revealed: “A few months ago, my father and Rui Costa (currently President Benfica) met and they talked about it with a smile. Rui Costa said, ‘I apologize for your son’s experience because we didn’t pick him up at that time…’”
