According to Le Marca, Real Madrid Club is close to completing the renovation of the new Bernabeu stadium, with a total investment of 1.347 billion euros.
Real Madrid revealed in its 2024/25 financial report that as of June 30, 2025, the club's investment in the renovation of the new Bernabeu stadium had reached 1.347 billion euros, a figure that is very close to the final budget of the entire project. The project, which began in 2019, has completed major structural milestones including roofs, facades and retractable lawns, and has accelerated the development of commercial areas over the past year, such as VIP areas, RM experiences, event hosting, catering services and new official stores. According to the club, these commercial activities are the main purpose of the renovation.
At the same time, the loan situation used to fund most projects has also been updated. In November 2023, the credit line of totaling 1.17 billion euros has been fully in place. After several years of interest payment, Real Madrid began to repay its principal: 15 million euros were repaid in 2023/24, and 23 million euros were planned to repay in 2024/25. As of June 30, 2025, the remaining outstanding amount was 1.132 billion euros.
For the 2025/26 year, the final work is expected to focus on the improvements needed to adjust the catering space and reduce the impact of concert noise. This is particularly sensitive due to urban planning restrictions and complaints from nearby residents about noise from early large-scale activities. The
club said that having the confidence to re-shelf the concert after technical and legal conditions are determined will be one of the strategic pillars of the new operating model. In addition, a formal NFL game is planned to be held at the Bernabeu Stadium to further promote its position as a global multi-purpose venue.
