Romano confirmed that Messi has renewed his contract with Inter Miami until 2028. Romano used an official tone, but Inter Miami has not yet officially announced the news of Messi's contract extension.

Official confirmation: Lionel Messi has renewed his contract with Inter Miami until December 2028.
The verbal agreement reached last week has officially come into effect, and Major League Soccer has completed all review procedures.
Messi will continue his journey at Inter Miami and the contract period will be extended for another three years.
Currently, Inter Miami officials have released two warm-up posts about Messi's contract extension at 23:00 and 23:30 respectively. The official announcement is expected to be coming soon.
