According to Kobe Radio, the personal foundation of Real Madrid legend Kroos contributed and initiated fundraising to pay medical expenses for a seriously injured child.
Kross once again proved that his influence far exceeds the field of sports, and the brilliance of humanity he showed in the face of a tragic event touched countless people. The protagonist of the story is Oliver, a two-year-old boy from Heidenheim, who suffered an accident in Mexico that caused a cervical spine fracture, was seriously injured and needed to live in a wheelchair.
After experiencing a series of complications, including stroke and cardiac arrest, Oliver's family faced huge medical expenses – initially about €300,000 and then increased to $900,000, which included some additional and unforeseen costs of surgery.
In this nightmare, the Cross Foundation intervened directly and took on all the hospital expenses of the child and his family. In addition, the foundation launched a “Miracle for Oliver” fundraising campaign to help the Stab family who have sold all their property to pay for medical expenses.
This selfless behavior embodies the core philosophy of the Cross Foundation, founded by Cross himself in 2015, aims to provide personalized and direct assistance to seriously ill children and their families, avoiding unnecessary cumbersome procedures.
In an interview, Cross emphasized that after visiting a pediatric hospital in Madrid, he felt the need to take practical actions to truly help others.
