Lautaro recently accepted an interview with DSports. He looked forward to the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico in June-July next year, when Argentina will defend its title as the defending champion.
Lautaro said: "I want to be fully prepared and do my best, just like I have always done. I want to remove the thorn of the World Cup in Qatar. The last World Cup trip was very difficult. I participated with injuries, and that experience made me painful. But these difficulties have been overcome, and it will make you stronger."
"Become Top scorer in the (next) World Cup? That's what I want, I want to be in the best shape. But first I want to focus on my club's matches, the friendly games and the European and American Super Cup finals. There is no time to relax, because every player has to give his best to the national team."
