In the 8th round of Ligue 1 this morning, Strasbourg drew 3-3 away with Paris Saint-Germain. Strasbourg coach Liam Rossinier was interviewed after the game.

What do you think of this game? Strasbourg led 3-1 but ended up being tied

I feel both proud and disappointed... I hope we can be proud of ourselves, and we are. We fielded our second-youngest starting lineup against the best team in the world. It's probably a bit disappointing to get the equalizer after leading 3-1, but I'm extremely proud of my players.

What are you most proud of? Strasbourg's ball possession rate in this game was only 28%

We were not afraid. Football is not just about possession, there are many other factors and we performed well in many aspects. I also wish we could have had more possession, but we were playing against the best team in the world. It was a high-level game and I'm proud to be able to call it from the sidelines. This kind of game is not determined by tactics, but by mentality, sacrifice, and team awareness.

So what is your biggest regret?

Obviously, when we took a 3-1 lead away from home...but we had already consumed a lot of energy in the high-intensity pressing in the first 75 minutes.

Are you satisfied with the team's performance in this game?

Yes, I am satisfied. Even if we lose this game 3-4, I will say this. This is the most important thing to me.

Strasbourg conceded goals twice at the last moment this season and were defeated by Monaco and Marseille.

We are not afraid of a repeat of the same situation. We were competitive in all three games but were disappointed not to win. We are where we want to be and we are competitive every game and that is the most important thing.

What do you think of Panicelli's header? He has scored 7 goals in Ligue 1 this season

This is one of the most beautiful header goals I have ever seen. His performance is very good, especially when he is the fulcrum of the front line. That doesn't surprise me, considering how he performed in training. He has an unbelievable mentality, he trains really hard and I'm very proud of him.

Strasbourg’s lineup this season is very young.

Youth is the strength of this team. It's not easy to take the lead against Marseille and PSG. They will learn from it and grow quickly. We have scored 16 points in the first eight rounds of Ligue 1 this season and we are very competitive in every game. Physical fitness, youth, and fearless attitude on the court are all our strengths.

What is your goal?

Win the next game.
