Former Cavaliers player Deronti West has been on the streets many times
Recently, when former Lakers inside Josh Powell was a guest on the "Talk Les Show" podcast, he talked about the problems of some NBA players facing bankruptcy and transformation after retirement.
Powell said: "NBA players are used to being arranged in their careers, from training to games, and even trivial matters in daily life. This lifestyle makes them often feel at a loss when facing family, marriage and other matters. Many players are not restrained enough in personal affairs, whether financially or privately. Some players have been taught to focus on basketball since childhood, while others are handled by agents and managers. However, when they need to handle personal affairs independently, they find that they lack the corresponding experience and ability, so they feel that it is difficult for players to go to other industries after retirement. The key is here."
