US reporter: Lakers exercise Knect s 2026-27 team option worth $4.2 million

According to US reporter Keith Smith, sources revealed that the Lakers have implemented the team option for the 2026-27 season in Knecter's rookie contract, which is worth $4.2 million.
In the preseason, Knecht averaged 8.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game, shooting 32% from the field and 23.5% from the three-point range.
