Recently, Lakers coach JJ Redick was interviewed by ESPN and talked about his criticism of Brownie James during the regular season.
In the regular season game against the Bucks, Brownie scored a season-high 17 points on 7 of 10 shots and sent 5 assists. But then in the first half against the Trail Blazers, Brownie scored 2 points on 1 of 4 shots and made two mistakes, and the Lakers were 15 points behind at the end of the half.
In response, Redick said: "That was the only time I really got angry with him in the year. What I said to him at that time was 'My belief in you as a player cannot be higher than your belief in yourself; your standards for yourself must be higher than my standards for you'."
