Today is the 51st birthday of former NBA player Derek Fisher, so let's wish him a happy birthday.
Fisher was selected by the Lakers in the 1996 NBA Draft 24th in the first round. He has played for the Lakers, Warriors, Jazz, Thunder and Mavericks (now the Mavericks) in his career. In 2014, Fisher announced his retirement. In the same year, Fisher became the head coach of the Knicks, but was fired by the team in 2016.
Fisher won a total of 5 NBA championships in his career (2000-2002; 2009-2010, all in the Lakers), played in a total of 1,287 games, scored 10,713 points, averaged 8.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.1 steals per game, and shot percentage of 39.9/37.4/77.5% in three events.
