Nuggets officially announced that it had traded in Valan, and the two-year contract of US$20.4 million (US$10.395 million, US$10 million) was converted into protection.
This also means that the Nuggets' current salary exceeds the luxury tax line, and they do not have the full middle class ($14.1 million) to use, and can only use the mini middle class ($5.7 million).
