25 points and 10 assists! Adelman on Murray: He created many great opportunities for his teammates

In the NBA regular season, the Nuggets lost to the Warriors 131-137 in overtime. After the game, head coach Adelman was interviewed and talked about the performance of point guard Murray.

Reporter: What do you think of Jamal (Murray)'s control of the game?

Coach: He's very good. I think the other team then started to double-team him in the pick-and-roll, and we had to make sure he was in the middle of the court so it would be easier for him to organize the offense. There are certain periods of time where it can be effective to double-team him and then rotate early to defend downfield players. But I like the way he handles the ball, he takes his time. The opponent used a variety of defensive methods against Nikola (Jokic). Sometimes Jamal needs to be the offensive arrow, and he made a lot of very good decisions and created great shooting opportunities for his teammates.

That's it tonight. I thought both teams created a lot of good opportunities and we missed layups when we could have controlled the game. In overtime, we gave Cam (Cameron Johnson) the ball and it was a great opportunity. CB (Braun) covered the rotation. So there are a lot of positives. It's just that tonight doesn't belong to us.
