Today, Bucks star Antetokounmpo, with his three brothers and his mother, went to Brazil to watch the Brazilian women's volleyball team vs Italian women's volleyball team in the first week of the 2025 World Women's Volleyball League. He received a brief interview after the game.
Speaking of the reason for coming to Brazil to watch volleyball games, Antetokounmpo said: "I just love sports. I think sports have their own beauty. This is my first time in Brazil. I want to experience the culture here and see the sports atmosphere here, first volleyball games, then football games. I think it will be a wonderful summer experience. Tomorrow we are also planning to visit the Christ statue. I just want to fully integrate into the culture here. We had a great time, the audience was very engaged, and they were cheering, which is one of the reasons I like and participate in sports."
"I have never played volleyball, but my wife (see below) used to be a volleyball player. Volleyball is great. I hope my daughters can play volleyball too." Antetokounmpo added.
Speaking of the athletes' performance in this game, Antetokounmpo said: "It's incredible. I think they are the best in the world. I've never seen a volleyball game before, it's my first time, but I really enjoy it."
