Recently, 76ers rookie VJ Edgecom wrote an article in "Star Stand" and talked about the 2024 Olympic qualifiers.
Echcomb wrote: "Fast forward to the summer of 2024, and I received an invitation to represent the Bahamas national team in the Olympic qualifiers.
"I thought at the time, why not do it?
"I think this is a good opportunity to improve my football skills. I can train with NBA players of DeAndre Ayton, Buddy Hilder, and Eric Gordon. It's to increase exposure, you know. To put it bluntly, I didn't expect to really play. Haha. I thought I would be treated like a newcomer. You know, just sit on the sidelines, watch the game, practice the ball... But at the same time, I told myself deep down that I can't let this happen."
