Patton: Lillard will never be the third leader, he is the worst one.

Recently, former NBA player Will Barton talked about his former teammate Lillard on the "Backcourt Connection".
Barton said: "At that age, if someone can return with full blood, it's him. He trains very hard. He averaged 26 or 27 points this season. He will never be the third choice, the worst is the second choice, and their first choice is basically the best player in the league."
Lillard suffered a deep vein thrombosis in his right calf at the end of March. He recovered in less than a month and returned in G2 against the Pacers in the first round of the playoffs. But in G4, Lillard suffered a tear on the left Achilles tendon. Forbes Sports NBA reporter Evan Sidery previously retweeted Shams's tweet and said that Lillard is likely to miss the entire 2025-26 season due to a torn left Achilles tendon.
