Redick: We only need to fine-tune our tactics when James returns. He is already very familiar with tactics.

Today, Lakers coach Redick was interviewed after training.

Talking about James' first full participation in team training today, Redick said: "Yes, we have conducted a lot of actual training, so he can participate in all training sessions."

When asked about James' tactical adjustments after his return, Redick said: "I think when you add a guy who can play 35 minutes or so when healthy, it has an impact on the rotation and the tempo of the guys. That's something that happens naturally with any basketball team, and there was some continuity last season between AR (Reeves), him and Luka (Doncic) that we can build on. But realistically, you can't tell if it's going to be seamless or if something will go wrong. There are little things that need to be adjusted, like if you add too much cinnamon to a cookie, it won't taste as good. So we need to keep adjusting.

"Tactics-wise, we're not doing much different. We just added some small changes. There's a new play that we discussed in practice today and introduced before Game 1 against the Timberwolves. So I think he's very adaptable. There was no time today where we had to stop and tell him, 'Hey, LeBron, remember we did this. ’ No, he’s already very familiar with it. He's very active in film analysis and training, and he's been very vocal, so he's fully integrated. "

The Lakers will face the Jazz at home at 11:30 tomorrow.
